This is a consumable part that accepts the cap gun cap and holds the firecracker. These usually last between 50-120 uses depending on the type of caps and firecrackers used. Hotter firecracker fuses and caps will wear the anvil more rapidly. Dry firing will also damage the anvil as it is designed to use the cap to dampen the impact of the striker. Firecrackers are designed to sit slightly loose in the assembly. To improve the hold, gently squeeze the fused end of the firecracker to flatten the paper without damaging the clay plug so it grips the Firecracker Holder better. DO NOT USE TAPE TO INCREASE FRICTION! THIS WILL RESULT IN A ZERO DELAY WHEN ACTIVATED!
